Like the Crag Field, it's quite easy for players to accidentally wander into any surrounding biome. Crystalline sulfur is a trap.

This tiny biome is located along the Grand Reef and several other regions, and fortunately holds no major threats within it, save an annoying Warper or two.

With all risk and no reward, this terrifying biome is one that can, and should, be absolutely avoided at all costs.

One of my fav places to build a base. My first base is located at the edge of Safe Shallows, right where it changes into Grassy plateus. My base features a glass "mushroom walk" and a moonpool suspended in the crotch of one of the big branches that's fun to speed up into and dock. Like the three prior biomes, this region holds no relevance to the plot, and no unique resources that can only be found there. These biomes all provide quite useful materials, and only take less than a minute to reach from this position. I like the edge of the safe shallows farthest east from the Aurora. But to quote players' own PDAs, "Are you certain whatever you're doing is worth it?". After repairing the Aurora, I'd suggest staying on the small strip of Safe Shallows, which is just off the port side of the back end.
