Prophet (PBUH) said: From the hadith it is clear that when the Imam starts the Khutbah one must leave everything and listen to the Khutbah attentively. Other big gatherings of Muslims are eid prayers and Friday prayers. What is the importance of Friday and what are the deeds of worship to be performed on that day? Friday is the sixth day in Islamic week. We have received the book after them (meaning the Qur’an). Once the khutba commences, the angels close the register and begin listening to the Khutbah.”. When the believers enter Paradise, it will be “the day of mazid”, when they will be given the divine blessings abundantly, more than they would expect.
